New year, new me. Am I right? But how are you planning on creating your ‘new me’ if you keep doing the same things over and over again. Lately I have been seeing the phrase ‘If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you’ so here are a few things where I think we can be challenged in this new year.
- Review your last year. What are some things you accomplished? Do not only think about what you didn’t do, but also all of your accomplishments. It is important to give ourselves the credit we deserve!
- Read 10 pages per day. If you are not a reader, this is the perfect way to start. I understand it can be very overwhelming to take the time to read everyday, but if you decide to challenge yourself to only read a few pages per day, that is a great success.
- Make a to do list every day of things you need to accomplish.
- Make your bed after waking up everyday. That is your first task of the day, after getting up and making your bed, you will have the satisfaction of one task accomplished.
- Drink more water. Right now I have my own challenge of drinking 1 gallon of water every day, in order to do this, I bring with me my 1/2 gallon water bottle wherever I go. I drink one of them before lunch and the the other one after lunch.
- Do your skin care routine, and if you don’t have one, find one. It is soooo important to have a good skin care routine (ahem, use SFP everyday please!) it’s what keeps us pretty. I would highly recommend researching about the importance of wearing sunscreen every day.
- Eat more greens. I hate trying new vegetables, I am afraid I won’t like them and I don’t like to be wasteful. So it is okay to stick to the vegetables you like, but it’s always good to try new vegetables!
- Clean your space. It feels so good to live in a clean space, and even better if you live in a tidy space. I understand and respect that people live differently, and that their homes is for free expression and not for good impression. And you can always clean your surroundings and make a schedule so you do not feel overwhelmed by cleaning.
- Try to limit your screen time. We are constantly looking at a screen, maybe we work at an office and we work on a computer, or we are at home watching tv…. Or maybe we are just going through social media. We should try to limit our screen time so our eyes can rest.
- Stay away from negative things. There are so many things every day that make us have some negative feelings such as jealousy when watching things on social media.
